Our OCIN Sweatsuit Program

We have something special that we are so stoked to share with you. If you've been following along on our Instagram @ocin, we introduced our ocean awareness project – OCIN Viewpoints – at the start of the month, to complement the launch of Chapter II; a collection inspired by the oceans and founded on the theme of curiosity. We wanted to also celebrate Plastic Free July with a way to share knowledge and learnings and inspire conversations about our oceans, our impact, and what we can do to connect and protect this ecosystem that provides us with so much.
Each week we rewarded interaction with our content, with a giveaway. And this past week, to end off our last Viewpoints Bullet Note, we announced and gifted a piece from our new category: a hoodie from our very own OCIN sweatsuit program.
For a long time, we’ve been wanting to create a piece of clothing that articulated this thought that we truly believe in: that although we are each rooted in individuality and incredible uniqueness, there are also themes that connect us and unite us. At our core, we are Humans, Friends, and (for our OCIN collective in particular), Ocean Lovers, and we wanted to celebrate that.
And, with the help of some amazing people in our community, we’ve designed a whole sweatsuit set around this energy.
We reached out to our long-term friends at Reigning Champ – the makers of premium athletic wear founded out of our home city as well – who provided us with a pull-over hoodie, a cuffed sweat pant, and sweat short from their core collection of quality midweight terry. Our good friend and immensely respected designer Kenta Goto did up our graphic in our Jade Green. And, then we took it to Good Print Co., where each piece is individually screen printed by the hands of our talented pal (and sometimes model: just check our OCIN ecommerce), Ben Knight.
It’s truly a project from the heart, from a collective of creative souls, aspiring to connect our bodies and our minds. We hope you feel it too.
Our Sweatsuit program is now available in limited quantities, with pre-orders open online at OCIN.CO. It also happens to be just in time for our birthday month (we’re turning 2!).
